Eight-year-old Anant lives Jharia, India, one of the most perilous places on Earth. Negotiating dangers each day, he scrapes a living scavenging for coal and selling it so he can support his sick mother. When he finds a purse full of money one day, he is faced with a difficult choice between doing what he needs and doing what is right.

Anant is the face of a real-life humanitarian disaster facing the children of India in this devastating BAFTA-nominated short.
